AARON FREE
Licensed Master Social Worker
Certified Trauma Professional
I am a queer therapist specializing in LGBTQ+ identities, survivors of acute and complex trauma, grief, men’s issues, and suicidal ideation. I’m passionate about my work with survivors of all types of traumas, and I am particularly interested in helping survivors of sexual abuse find safety and healing.
My priority is ensuring you feel safe, supported, and comfortable diving into topics that might be difficult. We will go at your pace and welcome any parts of you that come up in session. I work as a guide, walking beside you on your journey and observing what is on the path and what directions we could go. You will be the one to decide what you want, and I will be there to support your development. Together, we will work to create radical changes by using trauma-informed therapies, such as Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Additionally, we will identify how past trauma, societal oppression, and marginalization may play a part in the stress you are experiencing today. It is my goal that you leave our sessions feeling heard, understood, and prepared to take on any challenge you are facing.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your healing process, please contact me. We can schedule a free 20-minute phone or telehealth consult so you can see if we would be a good fit for each other. I also encourage potential clients to let me know of any accommodations they may need to make treatment more accessible.
