The Lavender Circle: Group Therapy for the LGBTQ+ Community

The Lavender Circle is a safe and affirming space that allows members to authentically connect with other queer folks in Knoxville and the surrounding area.

Together, members will explore parts of themselves and have those parts compassionately witnessed by others. The experience of seeing and being seen by peers is an immensely healing experience that is not possible in typical individual therapy.

Topics that may be covered include internalized homophobia/transphobia, social and romantic relationships, social pressures and marginalization, ongoing legislation targeting the queer community, and its impact on our personal well-being.

It is our goal that members leave the group with a greater feeling of connection, community, and self-compassion
