About the Role
As an independent contractor with Momentum, you’ll work a flexible schedule that suits your lifestyle, with a minimum requirement of 7-9 sessions per week. You’ll join a collaborative community of like-minded professionals who are passionate about supporting men through life’s challenges.
We believe that therapists benefit from connection, so we offer weekly group clinical consultations to foster a sense of community, support, and ongoing professional growth.
Requirements
Must hold a Tennessee state license to practice therapy (LPC-MHSP, LCSW, LMFT, Ph.D/PsyD, or equivalent). Please note that we do not accept temporary or pre-licensed clinicians at this time.
Passion for working with men, particularly in areas such as trauma, addiction, relationship issues, and depression.
Experience with and commitment to utilizing measurement-based care.
Access to a private, confidential space with a computer equipped with video capabilities and a stable internet connection of at least 10 Mbps upload and 25 Mbps download for telehealth sessions.
Ability to work with men of diverse backgrounds, including various sexual orientations and gender expressions.
Commitment to ethical practice, following your specific Tennessee licensure board’s code of ethics.
Certification or willingness to gain certification in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct individual therapy sessions (minimum of 7-9 per week)
Utilize measurement-based care resources provided by Momentum to track client progress
Maintain up-to-date documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes, and complete insurance-related documentation as needed
Engage in ongoing professional development, working toward certification in evidence-based models as applicable

In 2024, Trailhead Treatment founders Logan Mahan and Jimmy Hill started Momentum, a fully online platform dedicated to providing clients across the state of Tennessee with high quality, specialized therapy, while also providing a place for more therapists to increase their skill, comfort, and competence working with a broad diversity of men while receiving effective administrative support and competitive compensation.
