Welcome! If you’ve found your way here, you’re probably struggling right now and wondering if therapy can help you.
Maybe you’ve noticed (or friends or family have pointed out) that you’ve been more down, on edge, or irritable lately. You might find yourself asking why you keep feeling this way–wondering whether something that happened a long time ago is somehow still causing you pain. Maybe there’s something from your childhood, college days, or last relationship that doesn’t seem “bad enough” to count as a trauma but still continues to impact the way you see life, others, and yourself.
Worst of all, you may think you deserve this.
My name is Kelsey, and I’m a student therapist and intern here at Trailhead.
My goal is to create a safe environment where you can learn to understand your inner world, face your challenges, and start to move toward healing–all at a pace that works for you.
In my therapy work, I am passionate about helping clients navigate identity challenges, relationship issues, and the effects of unresolved trauma. I’m especially committed to providing affirming care to LGBTQ+ clients who might feel unseen, misunderstood, or pressured to hide parts of themselves. I’ll approach our work together in a collaborative and affirming way, pulling from my training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to find what techniques and frameworks work for you.
I know your strength, determination, and ability to push through challenges have helped you get where you are today. But I also know that it can be tiring and lonely to go at it alone. In our work together, I want to help you honor the strengths that have gotten you this far, while equipping you with new tools for the challenges you’re facing now.
Together, we’ll look at how your past is affecting you now and begin building new ways for you to connect to yourself and others—ways that feel authentic and sustainable; that acknowledge the past, but are grounded in the present.
Don’t spend any more time suffering under the weight of this pain or under the pressure of who you think you “should” be. Take a step toward relief. Toward the real you. Reach out today.
