Are you falling behind in your responsibilities and then beating yourself up about not meeting expectations? Feeling more irritable and less patient? Have your friends, family, or significant other(s) told you that lately you haven’t been yourself? Does it seem like you can never find the right words to express yourself?
My name is Phil, I’m a Licensed Psychologist and Health Service Provider. I have worked with clients for 15 years and specialize in helping people live life on their terms. My passion is group therapy, but I most often work with individuals or couples struggling with communication, stress, and anxiety, or their social relationships. As a husband of almost 10 years and parent of two amazing kids, I also love to help new fathers become the kind of parent they want to be. I also enjoy working with suspected or late-diagnosed neurodiversity and the monumental impact this can have on identity.
I take a collaborative but candid approach to therapy. My training is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral and Acceptance and Commitment Therapies (CBT & ACT), which are evidence-based interventions for depression and anxiety. If you have an analytical mind and want a structured approach to see how your world affects you, this is an excellent fit for you. I also incorporate Interpersonal and Psychodynamic concepts to elucidate how growing up shapes the way you experience others, and they experience you now.
If you’re feeling lost, or like you’re fighting the same problems over and over – reach out! I am not here to judge. My aim is simply to help you identify what is going on, what might help, and how to make steps toward your desired direction. Reach out today to get scheduled!
