Position: Mental Health Therapist Specializing in Gay Men’s Mental Health
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee

Practice: Trailhead Treatment Center

Employment Type: Contract/“Full-time”

Reimbursement: Competitive, based on client caseload, with a graduated pay scale.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a fully-licensed mental health therapist with a passion for working with men in the LGBTQ+ community.  You’ll be part of a team dedicated to helping individuals address a range of mental health concerns, with a focus on providing evidence-based therapy to gay, bisexual, and other queer men.

We are currently experiencing a high demand for fully-licensed therapists with expertise in supporting gay, bisexual, and other queer men. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based therapy with a focus on men in the LGBTQ+ community.

  • Conduct 20-25 sessions per week, combining in-person and telehealth services.

  • Offer measurement-based care and ensure compliance with board ethical requirements.

  • Actively pursue professional development in a specialized area of therapy.
     

Requirements:

  • Must hold a Tennessee state license to practice therapy (LPC-MHSP, LCSW, LMFT, Ph.D./PsyD, or equivalent).

  • Passion for working with a diverse range of men and masculine-identified individuals, particularly those in the LGBTQ+ community.

  • Certification or willingness to gain certification in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

  • Access to a computer with video and microphone capabilities for telehealth services.
